We are for profit.
June 28th, 2008

The olympic trials for track are in town this weekend and of course everyone is out to make a buck… including my kids I guess. They have wanted to have a lemonade stand forever and Dude though peddling soda at the trials would be a great idea. Hopefully it works out… As they walked away they were chatting about how they were a “for profit” company as opposed to a “not for profit” company… I’ll let you know if there is any profit. Happily the downside is just lots of soda in the house which will no doubt make the kids happy.

Ocean week picnic.
April 25th, 2008

It was the last day of ocean week today and so I went to the all-school picnic with my girlies. Happily the rain took a break and we even saw a little sunshine. Here is my youngest playing with a friend in her stylish boots.
Flowers and bugs.
March 10th, 2008

I’m still very inspired to make beads with floral designs. I’m always looking for flowers when we walk home from school and today we found a ladybug… hmmm… perhaps I need to add some ladybugs to my flowers. I also had to share this photo because my oldest is wearing one of her favorite shirts…
My heart is gonna burst!
March 1st, 2008

I always tell my girlies that my heart is gonna burst when I see them being nice to each other… and look, here I caught it on film! Ooops, not exactly film, does anyone say that anymore? Does anyone still use cameras that need film? I don’t know, but I do know that this moment made my day.
Sunny days.
February 20th, 2008

Oh the sunshine is making me SOOO very happy!
I know that the clouds will come back before summer but I am trying to soak up every little bit before they do. It has also inspired me to make more flower beads so stay tuned for those next week. I just couldn’t resist…

Oh what a beautiful day!
October 22nd, 2007

It was a warm day here so we got to walk home in the sunshine. It was quite nice.
I’m on track for beads tomorrow so check back!
It was a busy, busy day!
October 17th, 2007

First I went with all the kindergarteners to the farm… in the rain of course…

Then we watched the older kids play their last soccer game in the mud of course…

Then I we had to drop the van off for it’s painting upgrade…

Then we had to try and fix my oxygen generator…
Whew… then I collapsed on the couch! Oh yeah, I mailed all your goodies and went to a pizza party too! Keep your fingers crossed about my oxygen machine… It looks like I’ll have a few less sets this week… bummer…
