School is out…
June 17th, 2008

School is offically out for my kindergirl. WOohOo! Today has been a little hectic squeezing in beads (find ‘em here) and kinder-fun. We had the kinder picnic today to kick off the start of summer… We also got to take home big bags of classroom goodies. Most of the kid stuff was off the walls in the classroom which of course made me kind of sad… this is the last kinder for us, time marches on… sigh… Oh well, I’ll try not to be too sappy!
The drawing above was done by my kinder… It is a drawing of me. I loved the crazy hair and am I yelling or am I happy? It isn’t clear… It made me smile so I thought I’d share…

Here is a little more kinder-art from the last day of school. They drew themselves in chalk…
Should I be concerned?

This drawing certainly caught my eye. It is right out of a tabloid… a princess asking “Do I have to go to jail?” I had to get the whole story from my daughter, the artist… Apparently this girl set fire to some houses when she made homemade fireworks on her 16th birthday and that is why she is asking if she should go to jail. Her crown reads 16 then a heart… because she loves being 16. I asked if the worm is telling her to go to jail and my 6 year old said “no” she didn’t really know who was saying yes… My youngest is getting the chance to draw with a permanent sharpie marker (I know… will I regret this?) and it has her drawing non-stop these days. It is amazing how a once forbidden tool can spark new interest. ![]()
Happy Mother’s day!
May 11th, 2008

Mine is off to a great start… I got some wonderful artwork and a few haiku poems…
“Mother’s Day”
Gifts for your mother,
She is totally awesome.
No day is better.
“Mom”
Beadmaker that is great!
Cares for the whole family.
She is just awesome!
Oh and yesterday DH gave me a rented truck driving away full of stuff to Goodwill and then another truck full of stuff to the dump. Now that makes me happy!
Hope that you are having a great Mother’s day if you are a mom… especially if you are my mom!!

By request.

My daughter really wanted me to share one of her drawings… so here is a Neopet Starry Kacheek… just click the thumbnail below for the full picture. Don’t know what a Neopet is? Don’t worry, I wouldn’t know either except both my kids somehow became obsessed with them and they are often something that they like to draw.
On the bead front I have a few design ideas for jewelry cooking, hopefully I will have something fun to share soon! I also want to make a few silver components to play with… maybe I can even have some in the Mart next week, we’ll have to see how the week goes…
