Today we start our trip home… It is a long straight trek around Vacaville so I thought I’d update my blog from my car with the help of cruise control and an empty freeway.

Today we drove to Roaring Camp where we rode one of two working steam engine trains in the US through the forest. It was very peaceful…

Apparently my youngest rode the Fireball when I wasn’t with her… I’m a little bit in shock!

Thank goodness my 15 year old niece came along… my youngest wanted to ride every crazy ride at the Boardwalk. I rode one roller coaster and I immediately felt queasy… they rode each coaster a few times! Fearless girls! Happily my older child had fun on the bumper cars… over and over and over…

The birthday fun continues on… today is her real birthday… How fast they grow.

We are loaded up and ready to roll. I can’t believe we are taking the horse with us again…

Just chillin’ at the pool with my girlies. I’ve been getting up early to make beads before it gets too hot and before my kids get too squirrely! A bonus to my blog upgrade is that I can now upload photos and updates directly to my site via my phone… So I’m typing right now at the pool… This could be dangerous! I’ll have new beads tomorrow so check back.

So today we went to the zoo… It was a very nice family day. The best part of the Oregon Zoo are the Lorikeets. You enter an enclosed area and you can feed them and they walk on you and in general are very sweet… and colorful!

DH recently took a kayaking class and has decided that we need to spend more time on the river… so we went on a little rafting trip today. The rapids were not too crazy which made it more relaxing, and our guide was great. He managed our two very chatty girls quite nicely and we had a fine time!
