I’ve just added new beads to my store. The update is a little early today but with the kids home for the summer I have to be a little flexible, I figure early is better than late! Hope everyone is enjoying a little summer sunshine… We are all off to buy paint for the girls bedroom. No more pink with princesses, we are going with a fish theme to accent the new aquarium which we all still love.

Just chillin’ at the pool with my girlies. I’ve been getting up early to make beads before it gets too hot and before my kids get too squirrely! A bonus to my blog upgrade is that I can now upload photos and updates directly to my site via my phone… So I’m typing right now at the pool… This could be dangerous! I’ll have new beads tomorrow so check back.

So as expected lots of things are broken on my blog. I’ve fixed most of them easily enough but my gallery stopped working and that will take awhile to repair. I’m trying to just look at this whole process as a little exercise for my brain. It is like a big puzzle that I have to figure out! Happily I do find cool things for WP like the one below! I’m just trying to be optimistic and hopefully my new gallery will be even better…

So today we went to the zoo… It was a very nice family day. The best part of the Oregon Zoo are the Lorikeets. You enter an enclosed area and you can feed them and they walk on you and in general are very sweet… and colorful!

I forgot to let everyone know that I updated my store! Hopefully you are on my mailing list anyway so you got the email…

There has been a little drama behind the scenes here which has been keeping me busy. I was being good and I downloaded a copy of my blog onto my computer for a back-up and my virus software said a file was infected! Eeek! Like what do I do about this? I only know enough to be dangerous and when I deleted the file my blog would crash… I asked DH for help and he had NONE! He said I’m beyond his web knowledge and I had to fix it without his help… sigh… I asked my webhost what was up, why did this happen? Don’t they protect my files? Haven’t heard back on that yet… So I had to take a deep breath and upgrade Wordpress.

Are you thinking what is the big deal? Well… that might be true, except I have upgraded in the past to disastrous results! And even though my blog still looks pretty good at first glance if you click around there are broken links that I now have to figure out… BUT! I did do it and I didn’t break it!! Woohoo!! I can’t tell you how happy this makes me! Okay, enough computer whining for one day… off to ship some packages!

Running amok with my macro lens again… I’m sparing you the gross photo of a spider eating a bee that I took today! EWWW! I’ll be back tomorrow with beads!

DH recently took a kayaking class and has decided that we need to spend more time on the river… so we went on a little rafting trip today. The rapids were not too crazy which made it more relaxing, and our guide was great. He managed our two very chatty girls quite nicely and we had a fine time!

It is that time again… my computer is outdated and I need to upgrade. There are a few items that I have been salivating over and they will not work with my current setup, so I’m preparing to upgrade my system. DH had offered to build me a computer so I don’t get stuck with all that software that I don’t really want and that drives me crazy! Did you know that you can pick your case? I had no idea! Although the ones that had cool front lights really appealed to me… I ultimately went with the most girlie box in the bunch! What can I say? Who can turn down swarovski crystals on a computer case?!

Vicki shared another bracelet using some of my beads. I love it! The bits of copper in it are very cool! I think I need to go dig out my stash of copper and see what fun I can come up with.
