Snow day!

My kids were out in it at 6:45 a.m.
More snow…

This is just a little crazy… I want Spring!
Later…

Okay… maybe I just want the snowman diet…
Mt Pisgah hike.

Yesterday I went on a great hike at Mt. Pisgah with some friends. The view at the top was beautiful! It was also fun exersize since we got to chat as we walked… always a good combination.

Then this morning we all got a treat of snow in April!
Bummer! Oh well… I plan to sit next to my kiln in the shop for part of today so at least I’ll be warm there!
Snow day… but my kiln is hot!

We had a snow day today so the kids are home… but I’m still busy making beads. I’ll have new goodies in my store tomorrow morning.
We made it!
It was a two day trek to get home… and when we arrived our power was out… but finally we seem to be settled in.
Falling snow.

I was busy making some boro beads for Tuesday when it started to snow. It doesn’t snow here in town very often and I just keep looking out the window to watch it fall… hopefully it will stay all night so the kids can run amok tomorrow!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Do you see the temp? 21 degrees here! Eek!
We are on a 2-hour delay for school today since the roads are icy. The delay is kind of nice, a slow lazy pace for the morning is always my preference! It is funny, I never used to be that way, but now I love lazy mornings…
Did I mention that tomorrow I’m taking the Spiny Knotted Necklace class with Stephanie Sersich?! I am looking forward to it. I was looking at the Year of Jewelry blog and I really want to try to make more jewelry this year. Maybe I’ll shoot for making a piece a week… It would certainly be satisfying and I’d have more jewelry pics for my blog, I fear my kidpics are taking over… sigh… what can I say?!
