A quick stop at the Japanese Gardens and then we were on our way home. It was a great weekend… Even a few tears because we had so much fun. Happily we have more family fun planned this summer!

We went to the carnival and ate too much crap! My youngest rode some of the rides but #1 and I walked around and found lots of fried food to sample…

We saw lots of cool floats and marching bands. Overall it was a fun morning.

We decided to go up for the Rose Festival with the kiddos.

After a little Thai food for lunch we made a quick stop at Powell’s book store, grabbed some coffee for the road, and headed home… It was a wonderful family day with a bead bonus!

You knew beads had to show up sooner or later! Dude took the girls off to OMSI while I got to oogle beads for awhile. It was rather nice!

Today we headed out on a roadtrip to Portland. Voodoo doughnuts offers an interesting twist on breakfast! The kids thought the sugar cerials and candy toppings on the doughnuts were awesome!
