Today we found dolphins.

DH and I were on a walk when we saw a whole bunch of dolphins swimming by the shore. (Click the pics for the bigger image.) It was pretty amazing. Of course I didn’t have the right camera lens to get a good close-up picture… maybe tomorrow!

Turtles and more turtles!

It is a long trip and the time change sorta wipes us out… but it is so very gorgeous here on Maui. We haven’t even had to snorkel to see the marine life! It is pretty cool to sit at your balcony and watch the turtles swim about! Not to mention the palm trees and the flowers. Ahhh…. I’m just not sure what to do next, lay in the sun or nap… :)

We made it to the plane!

The kids are bouncing off the walls… Hopefully they will chill out for the six hour plane ride to the tropics! Probably not… a small price to pay for some family fun. :D

And we’re off!

Woohoo… A family vacation. :)

We made it home.

We made it home without much hassle… Yeah! :) Although re-entry is always a little rough. On vacation you do so little that it seems impossible to fit your regular schedule into one day. Sigh… Anyway, it was a lovely trip and my girls will remember it forever. Thank you Nansy and Pops. Oh, I forgot to share this whale fin that we saw from on top of Pineapple Hill. I also saw a breaching whale just before we left, it was amazing, you’d just look out over the ocean and see so much activity! Anyway, back to the routine, beads tomorrow of course. :D

lizard

So first he was green…

then he turned brown…

Really… that was the excitement for the day, I’m enjoying this laying about! :)

Turtles everywhere!

Remember our last trip? Well after killing two underwater video cameras… only one of which I take the blame for… I don’t think that I’m going to have any video to share for this trip! :( But the awesome zoom on my camera can snap a picture as the sea-turtles rise to the surface to breath. We swam with them yesterday and today, all in all we saw 3-4 on each outing. It is pretty amazing, not to mention that off in the distance we keep seeing whales pop up and spouting, and generally doing their whale thing. Very cool!
