YOJ – Twisted Pendant

Okay, I know that this piece certainly makes a statement, but really why wear jewelry if you want it to be subtle?! Heehee… :D I am just having lots of twisty fun!!

Another success!

Yet again this year art camp was a big success! Perhaps the only negative was that my youngest was just too grumpy when she saw all the art that she missed out on. :D Happily enough, next year she will be able to go! The show was great, the artists were of course all so talented, and I loved seeing how proud they were of their creations!

Growing like a weed.

Oh how they grow! Here is a photo of my oldest next to the table in starbucks. Compare it to last year. Oh how they grow! Time sure flies! :D Tomorrow is her “art show” where they have a show at the real art gallery at the University of Oregon and they can show off all their hard work from the week. It is pretty cool.

On the bead front, I hope to have a new design for my Year of Jewelry challenge, we’ll have to see what I get done. I am also still trying to get that tutorial done! Yikes, better go get busy. :D

Spring break.

It is sping break here and my oldest is in art camp again this year. We did it last year and she liked it so much we decided to do it again. I really love having a slower schedule and no homework! (Yes, my second grader has homework every week! Sheesh! ) The week is just zipping by much too quickly however, I know I won’t be ready to get back to “normal” next week. Today the sun was out, we met friends for lunch, everyone was mellow and happy, all in all it was a great day. :D

New beads just added!

New beads are posted in my store! A few of the sets are bigger and more round than some of my beads in the past have been. I’m very excited about a new technique that I learned. The holes are larger on some sets, 3/32″ mandrels, but you want to know what I do to snug up the bigger holes? First string seed beads and then slide the beads over the smaller seed beads. It is a great trick and it makes the beads fit great when stringing on smaller cord. Give it a try! :D

There will be beads…

Oh I have been having fun playing with all the new tips and tricks from my class this weekend! I’m not sure what I’ll have tomorrow but I will have some fun goodies. :D

WOW! Heather Trimlett Class

I am so inspired by my class with Heather that I can barely stand it! She showed us the super coolest button with murrine technique! Woohoo! I will be making plenty of those so I hope you need some. :D I’m a little sad the class is over, I just wanna keep hanging out with glass gals! Not to mention this weekend was the Gem Faire… whoa… bead overload. I hope you found your weekend just as wonderful. :)
